Daily checks in Australia
For a category one business, identify which prescribed activities take place during the day. A general opening checklist alone does not describe a delivery, a cooling batch or food displayed later in service.

Putting this into practice in Australia
Organise evidence around the activities in your Australian food business. Standard 3.2.2A's evidence tool applies to category one businesses; the relevant work includes receiving, storing, processing, displaying and transporting food, plus cleaning and sanitising. Match the records to your business category and state or territory requirements.
FSANZ: evidence tool and prescribed activities- Create routines for the applicable receiving, storage, processing, display, transport and sanitising work. Capture the food or activity and the observation when the work happens.
- Review missing evidence and corrective actions before closing. Keep records accessible for the applicable retention period and any additional state or territory conditions; category one evidence records must be kept for at least three months.
What it does
- Scheduled routines
- Opening, midday and closing checks appear when they're due, so the team always knows the next thing to do. Add a fridge and choose how often it's checked — its checklists maintain themselves.
- One-off jobs
- Add ad-hoc tasks for the day — a delivery to check, a deep clean — alongside the routine.
- Live completion
- See what's done and what's still outstanding across the day, updated as the team works.
- Corrective actions
- When a check fails, raise a corrective action so the fix is recorded, not forgotten.
- Every kind of answer
- Yes / No / N/A, temperatures, notes, photos, dates and sign-offs — checklist items match the question being asked.
- Missed-check escalation
- Set an advance in-app reminder, a manager grace period and an optional later owner escalation for each site. Completing the check stops further missed-check escalation. Maintenance and training renewal dates also feed manager reminders.
- Dishwasher rinse check
- An optional starter records the commercial dishwasher's final rinse temperature and a wash-arm and filter check at opening. It is listed in setup but unticked until you want it, so a new site gets no extra daily check.
- Chemical safety and SDS
- Keep a chemical register with safety data sheets, storage, hazards, exposure controls and PPE. Link a site assessment and publish reviewed instructions for staff. Available on web and mobile with an internet connection.
How it works
Build your checklists once
Set up your checks and schedules to match how your kitchen runs — or start from the built-in food-safety checklists.
The team works from them daily
Checks show up on schedule and are completed on the phone.
Nothing slips between shifts
Outstanding work and corrective actions carry over, visible to the next shift.
A record of every shift
Completed checks build a time-stamped history you can filter and export — your own record of how each day was run.
- Time-stamped completion per check
- Outstanding work and corrective actions flagged
- Export for your files or an inspection
