Australia: before you start
Organise evidence around the activities in your Australian food business. Standard 3.2.2A's evidence tool applies to category one businesses; the relevant work includes receiving, storing, processing, displaying and transporting food, plus cleaning and sanitising. Match the records to your business category and state or territory requirements.
- Start with the affected activity: receiving, storage, preparation, display or transport. Record the food and time involved so the response can use the relevant history.
- Document why a delivery was refused or food was removed from use, and who reviewed the next step. Rechecking the equipment alone does not settle the disposition of affected food.
- Keep the original evidence and corrective action available for the authorised officer. Apply your state's notification arrangements where required rather than assuming a record in the app notifies the regulator.
Incidents & accidents
- Anyone on the team can report an incident from their phone while the details are fresh.
- Attach the actions you took as you take them.
- A manager reviews and closes it with a note — the full record is kept.
Accidents that may be notifiable to your state work health and safety regulator can be flagged for follow-up. Reporting to the authorities remains your responsibility.
Refusals log
Record refused service or entry — what happened, who dealt with it, what was done — so there's a dated record rather than a memory. Sensitive entries can be marked manager-only.
